You are close to the river Atna, which is very popular with anglers. It is also a short drive to Glomma. Here you have the forest close by with opportunities for various types of hunting: birds, small game and big game. There are also berries in the area, both blueberries and cranberries and mulberries. The mountains are also right on your doorstep. Ringebufjellet, Venabygdsfjellet and Alvdal vestfjell invite you to varied hikes for the whole family. On Venabygdsfjellet you can see the beautiful waterfalls Myfallet and Dørfallet.
At Atnasjøen you will find the picnic site "Sohlbergplassen" with a fantastic view of Rondane mountains. Canoes can be rented at several places and many of the lakes in the area are beautiful to experience from the water side.
