Only a few minutes walk away is a bathing place with a sandy beach. There are many hiking opportunities in the area and the possibility to pick berries and mushrooms. Enjoy a piece of meat from the nearby farm Mykland Wild or go on a moose safari in Evje (25 km). In Evje you will also find a canoe rental, rafting, mountain bike trail, climbing forest, go-kart track and a mineral park. Visit the Froland Works Ironworks Museum, which in its time produced cannonballs and iron furnaces. In winter you can enjoy the Frolandia swimming pool in Froland. If you want to go ice skating, it is not far to Arendal, where there is a popular skating rink. It is a good hour's drive to the zoo in Kristiansand.
