Around this idyllic accommodation you will find a great hiking area, especially the trip to the highest mountain of Rendalen, Sølen. You will find abundant wildlife, especially wild reindeer. The area is also known for its beautiful meadows in late summer. The whole of Rendalen offers many good fishing opportunities. The best known is probably Mistra, one of Norway's best trout rivers, but many of the tributaries are also good fishing rivers, such as the river Grøna just below the cottage.
If you wish, there is the possibility in the village to book guided tours to Jutulhogget and Sølen or fishing trips in Mistra.
The particularly charming cabin, located in the middle of nature, is a wonderful starting point for excursions to, for example, the national parks Femundsmarka and Gutulia.
The nearest larger town is Åkrestrømmen. Here you will also find a great beach at Storsjøen, a sports field and a larger shower at the gas station - an option for you as an alternative to the one in the cabin, where space is limited.
