Summary: This will have to be my most favorite part of my trip to Japan. You will have to intentionally come here for the temple stay. First and foremost, the facility will ONLY ACCEPT CASH payment for the stay. Though my wife and I were not too fond of the shared wash rooms to wash up. I don’t believe the facility has rooms with private wash rooms. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. They offer traditional breakfast and dinner(vegan friendly, though I am not, very delicious!). Wake up early(6AM I believe) for the prayer and breakfast after. The town does close early with no convenience store to buy snacks if you’re hungry.
