Fishing licenses can be purchased at the store in Skare or at the gas station and tourist information in Røldal. It is also recommended to visit Røldal Stave Church, one of the oldest stave churches in Norway. Otherwise, it is a short drive to Odda on the Hardangerfjord. Also recommended are trips along the Hardangerfjord on national tourist roads with the summer ski center Folgefonna, Buarbreen, Mikkelparken Kinsarvik, Bondhusbreen and Baroni Rosendal 1665.
