Positive: This more intimate sized hotel with a beautiful location right on the fjord was a perfect spot to explore and experience Alta. Though not in Alta central city, this was a benefit, as it was still easily accessible to town center, the Alta Museum, and all activities. The manager was an exceptional host and went out of his way to make me feel welcome, comfortable and familiar with how to get around. New ownership has recently inspired new hotel upgrades, including introducing a new restaurant and bar areas, serving excellent meals and breakfast. The fjord view room itself was good sized, clean and the bed very comfortable. I was even fortunate to see a wonderful display of Northern Lights on 2 of the nights right from the balcony outside of my room. I want to thank the entire staff for a welcoming, enjoyable visit. I recommend this personal, more intimate hotel and I would stay here again next time in Alta without hesitation.
