Summary: It’s hard to say what the most important thing is for a hotel stay. Is it 1) the property and room, 2) the food or 3) the staff? Well, it doesn’t matter with this property cause you’re winning on all 3. Quiet location at the end of summer/beginning of autumn, room size was good, room was clean, bed was fairly comfortable, bedding was great (the best pillows of the 8 hotels I’ve stayed in Japan). The Host is like a qualified Chef 👨🍳 (food was very nice and so well and professionally presented). Host picked me up and dropped me at the bus stop. Host and wife were very helpful and friendly and the children were so cute I wanted to take them home. Had a lovely 4km walk viewing the area and came across a troop of monkeys just around the corner relocating themselves for the night (an amazing experience). Views were spectacular, birds were singing, mountain streams were running, very peaceful area. Sat outside watching the sunset drinking the Chalet’s personalised bottled wine. Could only stay 2 nights, but wanted to stay for 2 weeks and chill out. Nice inside hot bath too. Whether you’re a skier ⛷️ who wants to stay somewhere that takes 5 minutes skiing to the chairlift or someone like me who is over skiing 🎿 and cold weather for the rest of my life, you will really enjoy your stay. I found a hidden paradise and I hope I can return some day.
