Comfortable and lovey wilderness holidayhouse at Øse Hyttegrend in Gratangen, which is an attractive cabin area 25 km north of the city of Narvik. Surrounded by a large wilderness area, the place is ideal for hiking in the forest and mountains, and fishing in several waters in the area. Great ski terrain in winter, 25 km to the Narvik alpine slope. Great starting point for road trips. The cabin is pleasantly furnished in wilderness style with timbered walls and wilderness paneling and has everything on one surface. 4 bedrooms, one of which has a double bed, two have a bunk bed 1.20 m wide down and a single bunk upperbed, and one has a single bed. In the attached annex with its own entrance, there is a bunk bed with 2 beds. In addition to the living room, there is a TV room and dining room where double doors can be opened to the large terrace outside. In the living room there is an oven with a glass door that provides coziness and good warmth on cold days. Internet/wifi for serving and TV with Norwegian and international channels. Access to service building with washing machine and sauna for 9 people for a fee. On the large terrace, which is partly covered, there is outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Øse is centrally located between the cities of Narvik, Harstad and Tromsø and is a good starting point for excursions by car. Bathing opportunities in Øsevannet 2 minutes' walk from the cabin or in Ofotfjorden and Gratangsfjorden 8 minutes' drive from Øse. Proximity to fishing in the sea, water and river. The area is an excellent starting point for trips in all types of terrain. Here you can find great hiking trails and roads that invite both short and longer hikes, as well as a number of peaks and hiking destinations. Here there are opportunities for picking berries and mushrooms in addition to a great hunting ground. In winter, there are groomed ski slopes outside the cabin door and on the nearby Storvannet there are opportunities for kiting. Dog sledding can be booked in summer and winter only 4 km from the cabin. Gratangsfjellet Alpine Center opens for the Winter Holidays 2024 and is close by. 25 km to Narvik and which has one of the roughest alpine resorts in the country. The area has several beautiful mountains that invite you to summit hikes in winter. . Øse Camping is 150 meters from the cabin and has a nice restaurant/pub which is known for good food and pleasant premises. During the season, there is a good atmosphere with après ski and live music. In the evenings, there is often a gathering in the barbecue area for a pleasant chat. Narvik and the Ofotfjorden were central during the Second World War with several naval battles and this can be studied in more detail at the war museum in the city.
