Positive: It’s a beautiful traditional Japanese house with a garden in a peaceful place and just a few other neighboring big houses. The interior is amazing, gorgeous woodwork designs, everything looks even better in real life than on the photos. House facilities are great, it comes with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with all amenities, washing machine is available, aircons for hot and cold weather, kotatsu for cozy late fall-winter nights. The owners are very nice people, met us at the station and guided through the house, we felt very welcome and at home. We would definitely stay at the house again if we have a chance, totally recommend it to everyone looking for traditional experience around Kyoto! Thank you for the stay! The town itself is a cinematically beautiful location with picturesque views on mountains, surrounding forests, and a small river. You can also take a stroll to the dam, there are plenty scenic spots and even a hot spring.

Negative: The town is small and pretty remote, there are no shops in the area, not even combini, be ready to stock on food on your way to the house
