Tivives is a port and bay located in the canton of Esparza on the Southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica in Puntarenas Province about five miles south of Caldera, and less than an hour from San José. The port town has a great sportsfishing platform and a spectacular silver-colored beach. The beach features a point break that breaks to the left and right in a gnarly fashion at a river mouth over a sandy bottom. The area is under the protection of the government so it is largely undeveloped.
Playa Herradura's beaches, Los Sueños Golf Club, and fishing opportunities are all a short drive from this home. The heart of Jacó is further, with the famous shops, restaurants, and nightlife of Pastor Diaz Avenue.
