Welcome to this venerable vacation home in Lensvik. The roots of the cottage stretch back to the 18th century, making this property one of the oldest houses here. Lensvik is considered the "strawberry community" of Trøndelag province, and besides strawberries, this community also has a lot of nature to offer. The cottage is located near the lake Utnesvatnet, which attracts with first-class conditions for freshwater fishing at any time of the year. In addition, there are several other good fishing lakes, such as Øyangsvatnet, and there are also good fishing opportunities on the Trondheimsfjord. If you go to Orkanger, you can try salmon fishing in the well-known salmon river Orkla. Local rules and regulations regarding fishing license apply. There are several beautiful hiking routes in the area; a hike to Hestgrovheia or Sørvarden will give you great nature experiences and magnificent views. Also the conditions for cycling are good and in addition you can go horseback riding here. If you are interested in history, you will find graves from the Viking Age and traces from early Christian times. In the communities of Lensvik and Agdenes, due to their strategic location at the gateway to the former Nidaros (today: Trondheim), there are monuments and installations from the MA and also from the two world wars. We recommend a day trip to Trondheim, either by car or from Lensvik by speedboat on the Trondheimsfjord, which is a great trip in itself. Also worth a visit is Løkken with its mining and industrial museum. In the summertime, the train also runs on the Thamshavn Railway, which is an exciting experience.
