The cottage is well maintained, nicely and comfortably furnished and is situated undisturbed on a farm with fruit growing. There are very good fishing and swimming possibilities in the fjord. Central starting point for trips to famous places along the mighty Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. In Sogndal there are restaurants, good stores, tourist office, Sogn Folkemuseum and Kaupanger Stave Church (12th century). Also worth a visit is the Urnes Stave Church (UNESCO).
