Around the cottage there are several beautiful hiking destinations, for example a hike to the Stabbursknappen. You can also enjoy a nice bike ride around the lake Osensjøen. There are groomed cross-country ski trails in several places, both by the sea and in the mountains.
From the cottage it is a half hour drive to Trysil and all that Trysil has to offer in winter and summer. An alternative to Trysil for trade and gastronomy is Elverum. It also takes about half an hour to drive here.
