Positive: We loved the location and the common areas especially the big table and the open kitchen.

Negative: The listing stated that there are two bedrooms and we would have the whole place, but only one bedroom was available for us, and that had four nice bunk beds on the second floor. The big problem was that the toilets were both on the lower floor, and the staircase was steep. I traveled with seniors over 80 who need to use the bathroom at night. It was dangerous for them to go down the steep stairs in the middle of the night. We solved the bathroom problem by moving the kitchen table aside and carrying two mattresses downstairs to the kitchen/dining area. We had already asked about the other bedroom when we checked in, but it was locked and not available. This is something to consider with seniors or children. Couples might also prefer to sleep together rather than in separate bunk beds. Perhaps the second bedroom has a different arrangement and perhaps includes a toilet? Regarding the kitchen, it would have been nice if there had been some spices/ cooking oil available. A clear map showing the way to walk to the beach would have been helpful. A step stool is needed for the kitchen. Some items were in a cupboard too high to reach without a tall person in the group.

Summary: We enjoyed the home. The river views were nice. The hosts are very friendly.
