A well equipmented privat area for 4 adult to spend time on the rural area, that still is in main traffic in south Iceland - at an active working mixed animal farm -
Big enterance hallway to the rent out flat, a joined kitchen area and seat area (that also is a sofabed bedroom during night - bed is 140 x 200) - and then there is a big comfortable king size bed in the masterbedroom, 200x210 - and a privat toilet with shower and ability to use washmashine. Baby bed can be provided to the flat, when needed.
Everyone is welcome to see the farmwork from 08.00 - 11.00 and in evening at 18.00 to 21.00 -
we sell product of the farm - foal meat and veal - and when our chicken are delivering egg (egg) and milk.
The property is in middle of south coast Iceland - most visited places - ...
1 hour to Vík - 3 hours from Jökulsárlón - to the east -
1 hour to Gullfoss/Geysir area to NWest and - Þingvellir 1 hour -
It´s 7 mín from airport Bakkaflugvöllur - that thrives from flying hobby tours over for exsample Vestmannaeyjar - and the Eyjafjallajökull
The harbor to Vestmannaeyjar - is in 10 mín drive to east of here on road Bakkavegur nr.253 (our road to here from our town Hvolsvöllur (24 km away from here to North, West) -
Vestmannaeyjar are open from Landeyjahöfn harbor - most month of the year but some wintermonths closed to reasons off seawaves and weather - so they sail the boat to Þorlákshöfn (1.5 hour from here) -
Trip to the islands is cheep compaired to many activity in Iceland - and the islands natural beauty and saga centre - with its unic saga of Euruption year 1973 - leaving islandairs on a run from open Vulcan on their island. - Surtsey is here seen out of the window - made from stratch in year 1963 and - ... Eyjafjallajökull eurupted in 2010 - hanging over our region -
Bakland að Lágafelli is new guesthouse - build in 2013 and then now this year 2017 - 2 flats - this is the invitation the the newer one - made ready 2017 - for 4 people - ofcaurse you can sign into the other one made for 6 people - but ONLY if you let us know your intentions - we need to arrange that with other providers of rent - if it fits - ...
There are animals on the farm - cows, sheep, horses, dogs, cats and chicken -
it´s though nothing effecting the guesthouse unless people like to join us out and see our work -
THERE IS A FREE WIFI AND FREE PARKING FOR YOUR CAR
NO we do not have lisence to let our guests ride - but we know several places close by where it is possible and my sister and dotter run the best one - ... 1 hour away from here - at Baugsstaðir/Knarrarósviti (down at the beatch) and most beautyfull place to go riding in hole Iceland :)
Trails for VIKINGS is all over our area - and the Viking saga centrum placed in our town Hvolsvöllur and the main saga off Icelandic Vikings - NJÁLA happening all over our region to Vestmannaeyjar - and Fljótshlíð -
