The property has two houses and a big beautiful garden and accomodates up to 10 people, 6 in the main house and 4 in the guesthouse (additional price for the guesthouse is $ 120 pr. Night). There is a very large patio with jacuzzi, garden furniture and a BBQ.
MAIN HOUSE (MAX 6 people):
The main house is 86 m2, a luxury house, that can acommodate 6 people. It is very well equipped. It has a spacious living room with TV and a sterio and a very good open and fully furnished kitchen with a fridge, dishwasher and stove and oven. Two bathrooms are in the main house, both with showers. There is also a hair dryer and a wifii.
Bedrooms in the main house are for 6 people:
- A master suite with king size bed, under floor heating, large wardrope and a privat bathroom with shower.
- Second bedroom with queen size bed
- Loft, upper level with two beds each 70 cm
There is a washroom in a seperate room outside with a washing machine and a dryer.
Sheets, linen and towels are included in the price as well as soap, shampoo and washing liquid for the washing machine.
THE GUEST HOUSE (4 people) : (additional price US$ 120 pr. Night, please contact owner for the guesthouse, this will be paid at your arrival)
The guests house is 30 m2 and can accommodate up to 4 people. It is seperated from the main house. It has a small living room with a sleeping sofa, another room with 140 cm bed and a 70 cm bunk bed above and small kitchen facilities and a bathroom (no shower).
The guest house is only rented out with the main house, never separately.
Please let us know if you are interested to rent the guests house too. The main house is only for 6 people so you will have to add this one too if you like to book more than 6 people.
OUTSIDE:
The gem of the house is the jacuzzy which is waiting for you every afternoon when you come back from exploring so you can relax and watch the Northern lights, the stars or the midnight sun. It is standing on the large patio as well as the garden furniture and the big gas BBQ. The BBQ is only available during summertime as well as some of the garden furniture.
LOCATION:
The house is located in the middle of the Golden circle, so sights such as Þingvellir, the Icelandic national park, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Kerið crater are all within an hour drive from the house. The location is a perfect base for taking daytrips to explor the southern part of Iceland as well as the western part or the highlands in the summertime.
The location is only approx 50 min (75km) drive from Reykjavík, the capital and only 20 min drive from next village, Selfoss and 90 min drive from the international airport Keflavik.
Less than 20 minutes drive from the house is Route 1, better known as the Iceland Ringroad. From there you could venture further south along the southern shore to see sights such as Reynisdrangar, Reynisfjara or visit Vík village. Further south you'll find Skaftafell and the famous Jokulsarlon (Vatnajokull glacier lagoon) as well as many other magnificent landmarks.
GOLF COURSES:
Two great 18 hole golf courses are 10 minutes away, Kidjaberg is the better one but Ondverdarnes is a good challenge as well. There are also golf courses in Hraunborgir (10 min), Laugarvatn (15 min), Selfoss (20 min), Úthlíð (30 min), Flúðir (30 min) and more.
In the neighborhood you can also go horse riding, hiking, river rafting, glacier walking, snorkeling, Ice cave tours, caving, super jeep tours, snowmobile tours, angling etc depending on the season of the year or just relax and enjoy the nature.
