Monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws, toucans, iguanas, butterflies, and coatis are regular visitors to the property. Because the villa is fully integrated into its natural jungle setting, guests may also encounter insects such as ants, mosquitoes, or spiders, as well as the occasional lizard or snake. These interactions are a natural and authentic part of the Costa Rican experience, and we take every precaution to keep them minimal.
📜 House Rules
1. A signed rental agreement with names, ages, and photo ID is required within 24 hours of booking. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old and must be staying at the property. No unregistered guests are permitted at any time.
2. A $500 security deposit hold and a one-time $37 admin fee are required at time of booking.
3. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
4. Guests are responsible for locking all doors and windows when leaving the property — safeguarding its contents and your personal belongings.
5. Costa Rica may experience temporary power outages during heavy rain storms. This is not unusual and typically resolves within a few minutes to a couple of hours. Emergency flashlights are provided throughout the house. No refunds are given for acts of God.
6. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned. Bedroom doors must remain closed when the AC is running and should be turned off when the room is unoccupied.
7. Third-party travel insurance is required to cover any cancellations outside our cancellation policy.
8. No pets, smoking, loud music, commercial photography, parties, or events.
9. Pre-arrival guest verification through Truvi is required. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text — please complete this before arriving for a smooth check-in.
