Positive: Location was perfect for our slow quiet days. Amazing Cafe up the road, best breakfast our whole trip and terrific coffee (Fujiwara Shoten). Needed the car for easy access to activities, onsens, and shops.

Negative: No towels... Buying towels made for a great souvenir, but annoying. Came in handy when local onsen allow you to bring a towel. Diesel heaters. I am not totally familiar with futon beds.. but bedding seems more like a duvet than a mattress.

Summary: Great!
